The Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) swiftly addressed the situation, confirming on X (formerly Twitter) that there was no active shooter at Magic Kingdom. According to their statement, the initial panic was triggered by a “popping” sound, likely from a balloon, during a fight, which led to the scare and subsequent stampede.

Disney security and local authorities take any potential threat very seriously, and their quick response highlights their commitment to guest safety. Although it was a tense moment for those at the park, the situation serves as a reminder of the measures in place to protect visitors.

If you were at Magic Kingdom during this time, you might have noticed the heightened security. Thankfully, it turned out to be a false alarm, and everyone was able to continue enjoying their magical evening.
