Maluma, a Global Colombian Superstar, Has joined Disney’s ‘Encanto’ Voice Cast

Maluma, a global Latin sensation, has joined the “Encanto” voice cast at Walt Disney Animation Studios. Mariano, the soon-to-be fiancé of Mirabel’s lovely and poised sister Isabela, is voiced by Maluma. “‘Encanto’ is such a magical movie,” said Maluma “I’m from Colombia and the story is about a Colombian family. I’m proud to be part of this beautiful story. It means so much to me as I’m very passionate about sharing my country’s cultural values and story globally.”

Juan Luis Londoño Arias, better known as Maluma, has exploded onto the music world in the last ten years, bringing an obvious presence and unique sound to the stage. Medellin, Colombia, is where he was born and raised. The American, Asian, Latin American, European, and Middle Eastern markets have all embraced the singing/songwriting/acting powerhouse. He has six studio albums under his belt, the most recent of which is “#7DJ – Seven Days in Jamaica,” and has received accolades from the Latin GRAMMYS, Billboard, and Latin Billboard Awards, the VMAs, and MTV, among others. Maluma’s acting career will resume next year in “Marry Me,” featuring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson.
