Changes to Walt Disney World’s Upcoming Character Meets
We announced earlier this month that some Disney Character meet-and-greets would be returning to Walt Disney World this fall. Although the environment isn’t quite suitable for hugs and autographs yet, Disney claimed at the time that you’ll soon be able to spend one-on-one time with some of your favorite characters, visiting them in a themed area and snapping a photo or two.
Disney has provided an update on the Character Meets that will be held at Walt Disney World next month. The character meetups are now referred to as “Sightings” on the Mickey at Town Square website. Which, in my opinion, means you won’t be able to get close to your favorite Disney characters.
The following is the current list of Character Sightings:
- Disney Junior Stars in the Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Minnie Mouse at Red Carpet Dreams in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Mickey Mouse in his 50th Anniversary EARidescent outfit at Town Square Theater in the Magic Kingdom
- Disney Princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall in the Magic Kingdom
Only Cinderella and Tiana’s Disney Character webpages have been updated to reflect the new Sightings thus far.
Also, no comprehensive list of who will be available for the Disney Princess encounter at Princess Fairytale Hall in the Magic Kingdom has been posted online.
Although it appears that getting any closer to your favorite Disney character will be impossible, you will be able to glimpse some of them outside of a cavalcade or from a distance.
