Latest Update on Planet Mars Refurbishment in EPCOT

One of the final elements in the extensive Mission: SPACE courtyard refurbishment is the overhaul of the planet Mars. The area, known as Planetary Plaza, has been under construction since May 2023, starting with pavement upgrades before moving on to the planets and moon.

During a recent visit to EPCOT, we checked out the latest progress on the refurbishment of planet Mars. The project is both time-consuming and costly. Below, you’ll find a variety of photos capturing different perspectives of the ongoing work.

Recently, the discolored red panels at the base of the planet, beneath the silver overhang, were taken down. Additionally, panels are still absent from the right side above the overhang.

Black sections are visible where the colored panels have been removed. The orange-ish panels that are still present will eventually be taken down and replaced.
