Is This NEW Souvenir a Hint That Disney’s Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Ride Might Be Opening SOON?
Next month, Disneyland Resort will introduce a charming NEW souvenir sipper. Its cuteness aside, could it signal that the long-awaited Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride at Disneyland is on the horizon?
In late July 2024, Disney showcased the new Tiana sipper on the @DisneyEats Instagram page. The sipper features a figurine of Princess Tiana on top, a depiction of Louis, and a cool wraparound straw. While this souvenir has been available at Magic Kingdom, it hasn’t yet reached Disneyland.
The accompanying caption provided details about the sipper’s debut: “The Princess Tiana Sipper will be making its way to Disneyland Resort starting August 1, available at various locations throughout the resort.”
Though the sipper is undeniably charming, its arrival in August might hint that the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland could be nearing.
At present, Disneyland’s version of the revamped Splash Mountain ride is listed simply as “Coming in 2024” on the official website. However, there are rumors suggesting a late summer or fall debut, and with the D23 Ultimate Fan Event set to take place in Anaheim from August 9th to 11th, speculation is rife that an opening date announcement might be made during the event.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which opened at Walt Disney World in June, invites guests to “meet familiar characters and new faces while preparing for a unique Mardi Gras celebration.”
While the new Tiana-themed sipper from The Princess and the Frog might not definitively reveal the opening date for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, it’s a delightful indicator that Princess Tiana will soon be a permanent part of Disneyland’s magic.
